Room 3

Upstairs · the brightest room in the house

Sleeps 1–2

Brightest room

Code/key lock

Room 3 is the lightest room at Granny McRae’s — pale through the walls and the bedding, and placed so that on a clear afternoon it will not occur to you to turn a lamp on.

From May into July, when Anchorage barely gets dark, that is either the best thing about the room or a good reason to pack an eye mask. It shares a bathroom with the two other upstairs rooms.
